THE Region 1 Medical Center (R1MC) in Dagupan City, led by Medical Center Chief Dr. Joseph Roland Mejia, has issued a public warning after receiving reports of individuals or groups falsely claiming to be connected to hospital officials to solicit money or “investments.”

In an advisory posted on social media, R1MC urged the public to remain vigilant, especially during the Christmas season when scammers may take advantage of people’s generosity. The hospital emphasized that any unauthorized and illegal solicitation of financial assistance should be treated with caution.

Residents who receive suspicious messages or requests are advised to immediately report them to the hospital for verification through the official email of the Office of the Chief Administrative Officer and the Office of the Legal Officer at region1mc@gmail.com.

For further inquiries or concerns, the public may contact R1MC through the following numbers: 0947-559-0020, 0945-758-9235, 0966-451-0950, 0960-898-7886, 0995-400-0121, or via the R1MC trunkline at (075) 515-8916. (Eva Visperas)
