Manaoag LGU in Top 10 of 2025 DILG SubayBAYANI Awards
FOR the first time, the local government of Manaoag has secured a spot among the Top 10 finalists in the 2025 SubayBAYANI Awards.
The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) ranked Manaoag 9th among 44 local government units (LGUs) in Pangasinan recognized for their efficient use of the SubayBAYAN system.
The SubayBAYANI Awards honor LGUs that demonstrate excellence in monitoring projects through the SubayBAYAN platform—an online system designed to promote transparency, proper budget use, and timely project implementation.
Mayor Jeremy Agerico “Doc Ming” Rosario, together with Municipal Local Government Operations Officer (MLGOO) Sheila E. Velasquez and Officer-in-Charge of the Municipal Planning and Development Office (OIC-MPDO) Aldjumar De Guzman, received the citation during awarding rites held at EM Royalle Hotel and Beach Resort in San Juan, La Union.
Only ten LGUs in Pangasinan made it to the final list, including the provincial government itself. Manaoag’s inclusion in the Top 10 is hailed as a milestone, reflecting the town’s commitment to effective project management, transparency, and responsible use of public funds.
“This achievement reflects our continuous commitment to good governance and transparency,” Mayor Rosario said. “It highlights not only our efforts in managing public resources effectively but also our dedication to fostering public trust through accountability.”
The SubayBAYAN system, which provides real-time tracking of government projects, has become a crucial tool for LGUs seeking to strengthen service delivery and boost public confidence.
Local officials expressed pride in the recognition, describing it as a testament to Manaoag’s sustained efforts to improve governance and ensure efficient use of taxpayers’ money.
With this milestone, Manaoag joins other LGUs embracing technology and data-driven systems to enhance public service and community development. (Ahikam Pasion)
