Dagupan SP extends condolences to the family of former city secretary

THE Dagupan Sangguniang Panlungsod has passed a resolution extending its heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family of former Sangguniang Panlungsod Secretary Jorge Estrada, who passed away on November 17 after a lingering illness. He was 79.

Authored by Councilors Jose Netu Tamayo, Karlos Reyna, and Marcelino Fernandez, Draft Resolution No. 197 noted that Estrada served the city with dedication and excellence throughout his lifetime as city secretary. His unwavering commitment to public service significantly contributed to the effective functioning and success of the Dagupan City government.

Estrada was also an esteemed member of the Rotary Club of Central Pangasinan and held various leadership roles, including serving as National President of the Philippine League of City Secretaries. He was widely respected by fellow city officials and the community for his professionalism, integrity, and strong work ethic.

The resolution further stated that Estrada, described as a man of great character and kindness who consistently sought the best interests of Dagupan City, leaves behind a void among his family and in the organizations he served.

On behalf of the people of Dagupan, the SP expressed its deep gratitude for Estrada’s nearly four decades of dedicated service to the city, the resolution added. (Leonardo Micua)
