AID FOR 7,206 EVACUEES AFFECTED BY SUPER TYPHOON UWAN

TO ensure that the needs and welfare of a total of 7,206 individuals or 2,322 families are properly addressed, Mayor Belen T. Fernandez visited evacuees in various evacuation centers in Dagupan on Wednesday, November 12.
Due to the damage left by Super Typhoon Uwan, the city was placed under a State of Calamity on November 10 to allow faster and more efficient distribution of relief goods to affected barangays.
Mayor Belen announced that the distribution of relief assistance has been scheduled, in coordination with the Sangguniang Panlungsod led by Vice Mayor Dean Bryan Kua and the New Majority Councilors, with support from the Department of Social Welfare and Development.

POST-ASSESSMENT MEETING: STRENGTHENING DISASTER RESPONSE IN DAGUPAN
UNDER the directive of Mayor Belen T. Fernandez, the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (CDRRMC) convened on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, for a post-assessment meeting to evaluate the city’s response and the impact of Super Typhoon Uwan.
Representatives from national and local agencies presented their respective reports on the extent of the damage, the situation of affected residents, and measures for immediate recovery. The meeting also discussed the gaps and challenges encountered to further improve coordination and preparedness among offices in future calamities.
Strict monitoring of the water level in the Sinucalan River and nearby dams continues to serve as a guide for early warning and evacuation of flood-prone barangays.

OPLAN B.I.D.A. ACTIVATED AT LOMBOY ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
MAYOR Belen T. Fernandez’s program, OPLAN B.I.D.A: “Batang Iwas sa Dahas at Abuso” (Children Against Violence and Abuse), was brought to Lomboy Elementary School on November 7.
To raise awareness among the youth against abuse, lectures were conducted on Good Touch vs. Bad Touch and the Ten Rights of Children, led by Councilor Tala Paras, Teen Center Manager Geraldine Custodio, and City Population and Development Officer Malen Bernadette Pilon.
The young students actively listened and participated in the activity, which also received full support from the teachers and parents of the school. Councilor Dante Decipolo also attended the event to show his support for the program.
