Motorcycle rider killed in head-on collision with SUV
A 30-year-old loan collector was killed in a head-on collision after his motorcycle crashed into an oncoming SUV along a provincial highway.
According to the initial police investigation, the SUV — driven by a 53-year-old resident — was navigating a curve when the motorcycle suddenly veered into the opposite lane, causing the fatal crash.
The victim, whose name is being withheld pending family notification, was a resident of San Carlos City. Authorities are continuing their investigation into the exact cause of the collision, including possible speeding or human error.

Man nabbed in Dagupan for illegal online sale of firecrackers
A 33-year-old man was arrested in an entrapment operation for allegedly selling firecrackers illegally through social media platforms.
Authorities identified the suspect only by his alias, “Rene.” He was apprehended by operatives from the Regional Anti-Cybercrime Unit 1 in coordination with the Dagupan City Police, following reports of unauthorized online firecracker sales in violation of national laws.
The suspect now faces multiple charges for violating Republic Act No. 7183, which regulates the sale, manufacture, and use of firecrackers and pyrotechnic devices, and Executive Order No. 28, which limits their use. These violations are further compounded under Section 6 of the Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012 (RA No. 10175), due to the online nature of the transactions.

Teenager dies in motorcycle accident
A teenager lost his life following a motorcycle accident in Alaminos City.
The victim, whose identity is being withheld due to his age, was pronounced dead on arrival at the hospital after the crash.
According to police investigators, witness Rommel Dalioan Coronia, 33, reported seeing the motorcycle driver speeding down the road in Barangay Limansangan without a helmet. The rider, a minor, lost control of the vehicle, skidded off the road, and was thrown off the motorbike.

2 killed after being hit by SUV
TWO pedestrians were killed along the National Highway in Barangay Poblacion, Labrador, after being run over by an SUV while walking along the roadside.
According to the police investigation, the driver, Celso Sison Ison Jr., was navigating the National Highway when he suddenly lost control of his vehicle. The SUV then veered off course, striking the two pedestrians, Bryan Rey Penetrante and Melchor Revillas.
The impact caused the two men to be dragged by the vehicle, which continued to move until it collided with a nearby canal. The driver was also thrown off the vehicle.
Both pedestrians were rushed to the hospital, but were declared dead on arrival. The driver was also brought to a hospital in the city for medical treatment.

1 dead, 1 injured in motorcycle accident
A motorcycle accident in Barangay Calepaan, Asingan claimed the life of a minor and left his older sibling injured. The incident occurred while the two were riding a motorcycle along the provincial road.
Driver Eric Oda Lasatin, who was traveling with his younger sibling, lost control of the vehicle as he was speeding through a sharp curve.
Both brothers were thrown from the motorcycle, sustaining injuries to various parts of their bodies. They were immediately rushed to the hospital, but the younger sibling was declared dead on arrival. The older brother is currently receiving medical treatment.

Man stabbed by brother due to right-of-way dispute
A man was stabbed by his own brother after a heated argument over a long-standing dispute involving a right of way in Bugallon town.
The victim, Johnny Aquino Esguerra, reported to the police that he had gone to visit his brother, Rico Aquino Esguerra, at his house, located about 150 meters away from his own home. Both men had been drinking, and their conversation soon escalated into a confrontation over an old dispute regarding the expansion of their right-of-way. The situation was diffused by Rico’s child, prompting Johnny to leave and return home. However, as Johnny was walking back to his brother’s house later on, he was confronted by Rico, who was armed with a large knife and stabbed him in the neck.
Authorities are currently on the lookout for the suspect, Rico, who remains at large.
