Dagupan jail male dorm named best in R1
THE male dormitory of the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) Dagupan was adjudged as the Best City Jail in Region 1.
Jail Chief Inspector Lito Lam-Olsen, head of the BJMP Dagupan male dorm, received the award during the 34th BJMP Regional Office anniversary held at Vista La Vita in San Fernando City on September 16.
On the same occasion, Dagupan City Vice Mayor Bryan Kua received a special award in recognition of the city government’s support and collaboration with BJMP programs.
Mayor Belen Fernandez expressed her gratitude for Dagupan’s recognition as she praised the dedication of BJMP Dagupan.
“This recognition proves that with the cooperation of LGU (local government unit) and BJMP, our service becomes more meaningful, especially for those who need a chance to straighten their lives,” the mayor said.
Under the leadership of Fernandez, the city has been engaged to ensure the proper rehabilitation, safety, and health of all persons deprived of liberty in Dagupan. (CIO Dagupan)
