Four nabbed in Dagupan joint drug ops

FOUR individuals were arrested early morning of September 11 in Purok 4, Barangay Herrero-Perez, Dagupan City in a joint anti-illegal drug operation by the Dagupan City Police Station and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Region 1.

The suspects, identified as a 53-year-old vendor, a 55-year-old tricycle driver, a 49-year-old tricycle driver—all residents of Barangay Herrero-Perez—and a 47-year-old resident from Barangay Quezon, San Carlos City, were apprehended after law enforcement personnel confiscated two packets of suspected shabu weighing approximately six grams. The street value of the seized drugs is estimated at P40,800.

Man nabbed in Calasiao drug ops

 A 25-year-old welder was arrested after being caught with 5.29 grams of suspected shabu during a buy-bust operation in Barangay San Miguel, Calasiao.

The suspect, identified as Benedict Cuison Dela Vega alias “Betong” was apprehended by authorities after handing over a packet of suspected illegal drugs to an undercover police officer posing as a buyer.  He is now facing charges for violating Section 5, Article II of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

Drunk man razes home in Dagupan City

A fire broke out in a residential house in Barangay Malued, Dagupan City, on the evening of September 11, reportedly caused by a man who was heavily intoxicated.

The fire started in the kitchen of the house owned by siblings Marvin Fernandez Castro, 47, and Mario Fernandez Castro Jr., 44. According to eyewitness Salvador V. Mamaradlo, Mario, who was visibly drunk at the time, was seen acting erratically and dragging a bed sheet toward the kitchen before the fire began. Before the flames erupted, witnesses reportedly heard Mario shouting, “Andito na ang impyerno!” (Hell is here!). This was followed by the quick spread of the fire in the household. No one was injured in the blaze.

Teen arrested twice for stealing lights from Dagupan City bridge

A 16-year-old boy was apprehended after being caught red-handed dismantling lights from the Pantal Bridge for the second time in just a week.

The teenager, whose identity is being withheld due to his age, was seen by tricycle drivers in the area, prompting them to alert barangay officials. A resident also managed to record a video of the suspect under the bridge, which helped authorities confirm his actions.

The teenager has been placed under police custody while investigations continue. He will face charges in relation to the theft, and authorities are considering the possibility of additional charges for repeat offenses.

Woman Injured in Sual car collision

A woman sustained multiple injuries after her motorcycle was hit by a car while traveling along the National Highway in Barangay Caoayan, Sual.

The victim, identified as Leslie Caburao Alcantara, was riding her motorcycle when it was struck by a car driven by 35-year-old Christian Collao Moulic. According to police investigation, Moulic was attempting to overtake two vehicles ahead of him when he misjudged the distance, colliding with Alcantara’s motorcycle.

Alcantara quickly rushed to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.

Two houses destroyed by fire in Dagupan City

Two houses were destroyed by fire in Dagupan City, leaving residents shaken but uninjured.

The fire broke out in a home on Gomez Street, Barangay VI, owned by 68-year-old Adelaida Lomibao Macanlalay. The blaze quickly spread and engulfed a nearby house owned by 46-year-old Michael Vidal Lomibao. His house, made from light materials, was also heavily damaged.

The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) and Dagupan and the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office responded promptly to the scene, bringing the fire under control after reaching a first alarm. The cause of the fire is still under investigation, according to the BFP.
