A resolution expressing unwavering support for good governance and transparency is set to be discussed in the next meeting of the League of Municipalities of the Philippines (LMP) – Pangasinan Chapter, as concerns mount over the integrity of public infrastructure projects nationwide.

Manaoag Mayor Jeremy Agerico “Ming” Rosario, president of the LMP Pangasinan, confirmed that the proposed resolution is one of the priority agenda items in the upcoming session.

According to Rosario, the resolution aims to affirm the collective commitment of local chief executives to honest, effective, and accountable leadership, especially at a time when public trust is tested by national controversies.

“We want to make it clear where we stand. As local leaders, we must show the public that we are in favor of transparency and good governance,” he said.

Rosario is a member of the national group Mayors for Good Governance (M4GG), which promotes ethical leadership across Philippine municipalities.

Recently, two more Pangasinan mayors—Mayor Alma Lomibao of Sison and Mayor Chris Evert Tadeo Laynes of Umingan—joined the group. (Ahikam Pasion)
