₱408K worth of shabu seized from high-value drug dealer
A high-value drug personality was arrested and illegal drugs worth ₱408,000.00 were confiscated in an anti-illegal drug operation conducted late Sunday night, August 17, 2025, in Urdaneta City.
Joint police and anti-narcotics operatives carried out a search warrant at the residence of an unnamed 39-year-old male suspect, identified as a High-Value Individual (HVI) in the illegal drug trade.
A Facebook post of the Pangasinan Police Provincial Office (PPPO) said the warrant was issued by the Regional Trial Court Branch 73 in Urdaneta City for violations of Sections 11 and 12, Article II of Republic Act No. 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
The suspect was immediately brought to the Urdaneta City Police Station for proper disposition and underwent medical examination.
The seized drug evidence was turned over to the Pangasinan Provincial Forensic Unit in Lingayen for laboratory examination.
“This operation is a testament to our continuous and intensified efforts to rid our communities of illegal drugs,” PCol. Arbel Mercullo, officer-in-charge of the PPO, said.
PBGen Dindo Reyes, regional director of Police Regional Office 1, also commended the operating units for their effective coordination and intelligence work. (Eva Visperas)
