NORMAL operations at the PHINMA University of Pangasinan (UPang) in Dagupan City resumed on August 13 after authorities confirmed that a bomb threat that circulated online the day before was unfounded.

In an official statement issued Wednesday morning, the university said a thorough inspection of its main campus was conducted at 10 p.m. on Tuesday, August 12, by the Provincial Explosive Ordnance Disposal and Canine Unit.

The inspection, requested by school officials, found no evidence of any threat.

“Please be assured that we are implementing additional measures to keep our campuses safe, including increased security presence and continuous monitoring. Your safety and well-being remain our highest priority,” the statement read. (Eva Visperas)
