Bayambang mayor condemns killing of unidentified woman
BAYAMBANG Mayor Niña Jose-Quiambao strongly condemned the killing of a still unidentified woman whose body was discovered early morning on July 21, 2025 at the corner of Sitio Pocdol, Barangay Bani.
In an official statement posted on her Facebook page, she denounced commission of such gruesome crimes and assured the public that the local government is taking swift action to ensure justice.
“The LGU of Bayambang firmly condemns this incident. We will not allow anyone to disturb the peace of our town through such inhumane and despicable acts,” she said.
She ordered the Bayambang police, in coordination with other agencies, to conduct a thorough and immediate investigation.
Quiambao also urged the public to remain calm and avoid spreading speculation, misinformation, or unverified reports while authorities are still investigating the case.
“Let us be responsible and critical in sharing information. The truth must prevail, and justice must be served,” she added.
Authorities are calling on anyone with relevant information to report to the Bayambang Police or call #4357.
“We pray for the soul of the victim and hope that justice will be achieved as soon as possible,” the mayor said. (Eva Visperas)
