THE Philippine DanceSport Federation Inc. (PDSFI), in partnership with the Philippine North Luzon (PNL) Dancesport Pangasinan Chapter, kicked off the One North Luzon 1st Dancesport Development Program on July 19, 2025.

The free dance sport clinic was held in three clusters: Mapandan Town Center in Mapandan, Alejandro F. Oligan NHS gym in Sison, and Lananpin NHS gym in Urdaneta City.

Some 150 dancesport athletes from these areas joined the training that included skills lessons on cha-cha amalgamation, basic Latin dances, and standard skills training.

The pioneering program aims to promote dancesport among the youth and aspiring athletes in Pangasinan through skills training, mentorship, and community building.

Lucky Ubaldo, PNL Pangasinan Dance Instructor, said dancesport is beginning to thrive in the province, and they are working to expand the community by organizing free dance clinics and amateur competitions.

“Our goal is to help the grassroots to showcase their skills, nurture their talents, and also provide values and discipline,” he said.
