
Over ₱877K worth of drugs seized, 2 suspects nabbed
AUTHORITIES arrested two suspects in separate anti-illegal drug operations in Rosales and Dagupan City on July 15 and 16, respectively, yielding a total of 129 grams of suspected shabu worth over ₱877,000.
On July 15, a buy-bust operation conducted by the Rosales Municipal Police Station, in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Region 1, led to the arrest of Alexis Garcia Jr., also known as Kelly Garcia, a 48-year-old vendor and resident of Barangay San Pedro West, Rosales.
Recovered from Garcia were 16 grams of suspected shabu valued at ₱108,800.
The next day, a separate operation carried out by the Dagupan City Police Station, also in coordination with PDEA Region 1, resulted in the arrest of Amiroding Cairoding, alias Nash, a 23-year-old jobless resident of Barangay Bonuan Binloc, Dagupan City, along with his 15-year-old male companion, a Grade 9 student.
Seized from the suspects were approximately 113 grams of suspected shabu with a street value of ₱768,400.
The suspects are now in police custody and will face charges for violation of the Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. (Eva Visperas)
