Fisherman found dead in San Fabian

A fisherman was found dead and is believed to have drowned in Barangay Alacan in the town of San Fabian.

Dr. Jose B. Quiros Jr., Municipal Health Officer (MHO), confirmed that there were no signs of foul play and the fisherman drowned, possibly due to a health issue.

Decomposing body of woman found in Calasiao

A decomposing body of a woman was found in Barangay Dinalaoan a river in the town of Calasiao in the afternoon of June 24.  Two men were at the riverside when they noticed a foul odor coming from the area. Upon closer inspection, they discovered the lifeless body in the grass near the riverbank.

Authorities estimate the woman’s age to be between 45 and 50 years old, with a height of 5’2″. She was wearing a black T-shirt with the words “Slap Army” printed on it, and black leggings.

There were no visible wounds found on her body. The police are continuing to investigate the incident.

Young man stabbed by friend, dies

A 22-year-old man was killed after being stabbed by his friend in Binmaley town.

The victim, Stevenson Rosario, a resident of Calasiao, was visiting his ailing friend in Binmaley on Saturday when the latter went to the kitchen and returned with a knife, which he used to stab the former. Rosario’s relatives rushed him to the hospital, but he was declared dead on arrival. The suspect was immediately arrested and is now under tight police surveillance.

Rider dead in Dagupan van collision

A 25-year-old motorcycle rider died after colliding with a utility van in Dagupan City.

The driver of the utility van, Joshua Tabayoyong Jr., was surprised when the motorcycle, driven by John Paul Valenzuela, a 25-year-old resident of San Fabian, suddenly crashed into the side of his vehicle.

According to Tabayoyong, he was on his way to the taxi terminal at New De Venecia Extension when he noticed an oncoming motorcycle with weak headlights. Valenzuela sustained severe head injuries and was rushed to the hospital, but was declared dead on arrival.

Man drowns after drinking spree

A man was declared dead on arrival at the hospital after drowning in a river following a drinking session with friends before they all went to Sinocalan River in Barangay Sto. Domingo, San Manuel

The victim was identified as 36-year-old Mark Lester Rosaldo Pinto, who went in for a swim in the river, but never resurfaced. His body was later found and rushed to the hospital, but it was too late to save him.

Two men nabbed for charring dog

TWO men were arrested in the town of Sison for animal cruelty when they were caught in the act of burning a dog.  Arrested were Manny Tolentino Lino and Lawrence Bandarlipe Ellana, both 23 years old and construction workers.

Failing to flee the scene, the suspects were apprehended with the help of a witness. They are now facing charges for violating the Animal Welfare Act or Republic Act 8485, as amended by RA 10631.

Motorcycle hits grandma in road crossing, dies

A 77-year-old woman, Marilyn Fonacier Soriano, a resident of the same barangay, was crossing the street was killed, while a motorcycle rider 27-year-old Dexter Ondac Gonzales, a clerk at a mall in Rosales, who resides in Barangay San Pablo, Santa Maria.was injured in a road accident in Balungao town along the National Road in Barangay Poblacion

Both the senior citizen and the motorcycle rider sustained injuries and were rushed to the hospital for treatment. Soriano, however, was declared dead upon arrival, while Gonzales is reported to be now in stable condition. Authorities are investigating the incident further.
