Man dies after casting his vote
AN elderly man passed away shortly after he cast his vote early morning on Monday, May 12.
According to witnesses at the polling center in Barangay Gayaman, 68-year-old Loreto Melendez Doria arrived around 5:00 a.m. to cast his vote, after which he fainted and collapsed on the floor.
Emergency responders were immediately called, and he was rushed to the hospital, but he was declared dead upon arrival.
His family reported that Doria was in good health and had no known medical conditions. They observed that the cause of death was likely related to the recent fall and hit his head on the cement floor.
Authorities are conducting further investigations to determine the exact cause of his sudden death. (Ahikam Pasion)
