559 provincial employees promoted during Guico’s 1st term

THE Guico administration promoted 559 employees from various offices of the provincial government received their due promotions or permanent status during the first term of Gov. Ramon V. Guico III that started July 2022.

According to the Human Resource Management and Development Office (HRMDO), many of those promoted had been with the provincial government for decades but were still holding casual appointments while others were holding permanent positions but were never promoted due to the non-availability of vacant or created positions in their departments.

“We have 559 employees (promoted) from July 2022 up to March 2025,” said HRMDO chief Janette Asis said during the third career progression ceremony on April 15.

The first batch was composed of 276 employees, followed by 132 employees and the last was comprised of 151 employees.

Addressing the provincial employees for the first time in July 2022, the governor encouraged all rank-and-file employees to perform at their best and show their potentials with a promise for career opportunities within the organization.

Guico also created opportunities for employment, including those in the Provincial Hospital Management Services Office (PHMSO), Pangasinan Polytechnic College (PPC) and Provincial Economic Development and Investment Promotion Office (PEDIPO).

New plantilla positions were also created in some offices like the Pangasinan Information and Media Relations Office (PIMRO) formerly Provincial Information Office, Provincial Human Settlements and Urban Development Authority (PHSUDA) formerly Provincial Housing and Urban Development Coordinating Office (PHUDCO), and Laoac Dairy Farm, which is under the Office of the Provincial Agriculturist (OPAg), among others.
