
Public school teacher nabbed for drug-dealing
A teacher at a public school in Dagupan City was arrested after police, armed with a search warrant, found illegal drugs valued at almost P1.3 million at his residence.
P/Major Apollo Calimlim, Dagupan City deputy chief of police, confirmed that the search warrant was issued by the court for the home of Nolan Sanz Espino, also known as “Maestro.” The 51-year-old teaches at Pantal Elementary School and is identified by the police as a ‘high-value individual’ in the local drug trade.
The police have been monitoring Espino for over four months as he allegedly sold illegal drugs to numerous customers in various locations, including former and current students and through a group chat with his clients.
“Sasabihin niya sa group chat na ‘the drugstore is open, the drugstore is closed’, senyas niya yon para dayuhin ng mga parokyano,” said Calimlim.
Reports indicate that he sourced his supply of suspected shabu from Manila.
During the search, authorities confiscated 159 heat-sealed transparent sachets containing suspected shabu, weighing around 187.02 grams and valued at P1,271,736.
Additionally, a self-sealing plastic sachet containing approximately 2.90 grams of suspected marijuana was found, with an estimated value of P348.
Several pieces of drug paraphernalia were also seized.
The confiscated evidence has been submitted to the police for appropriate action, and charges have been filed against Espino. (Ahikam Pasion)
PDEA nabs 2, seizes P1.7M drugs in Urdaneta bust
A buy-bust operation conducted by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) in collaboration with the Urdaneta police resulted in the arrest of two individuals and the seizure of about P1.7-million worth of suspected shabu in Barangay Poblacion, Urdaneta City, Thursday afternoon, April 10.
PDEA Pangasinan Provincial Officer Rechie Camacho identified the arrested suspects as Edgardo Inaldo, 40, a resident of Zone 6, Oltama, Urdaneta City, and McGyver Reyes, 21, a resident of Lunec in Malasiqui town.
Authorities also recovered one genuine P1,000 bill, along with 499 pieces of boodle money used during the operation, a caliber 45 pistol with seven live ammunition, and a Mitsubishi Montero used by the suspects in their operations.
The PDEA is still determining the reach of the suspects’ network, but Camacho said the suspects are known to be engaged in illegal drug trade in and outside Pangasinan. (Ahikam Pasion)
Pangasinan PNP seizes Over P260K worth of illegal drugs
THE Pangasinan Police Provincial Office (PPPO) confiscated illegal drugs valued at P263,094 and arrested 10 suspects during anti-drug operations conducted from March 30 to April 5, 2025.
According to PPPO’s weekly, Colonel Rollyfer Capoquian said operations resulted in the seizure of 38.69 grams of suspected shabu and the arrest of four persons listed as most wanted persons, while an 27 wanted persons were taken into custody.
Also seized during 11 operations were nine firearms and five suspects. (Ahikam Pasion)
