PDEA arrests minor, seized P340K worth of shabu
A buy-bust operation conducted in Barangay Nalsian, Bayambang early morning of March 19 resulted in the arrest of a 16-year-old high-value target and the seizure of illegal drugs worth over P340,000.
The successful operation was led by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Pangasinan Provincial Office, with the support from the Bayambang Municipal Police Station.
The arrested individual, a resident of Barangay Nalsian, was found in possession of 50 grams of white crystalline substance believed to be shabu.
Aside from the illegal drugs, the operatives recovered one genuine one-thousand peso bill used as buy-bust money, 99 pieces of machine-printed P1,000-bills served as boodle money, an iPhone phone, and four P100-bills.
The arrested suspect is now facing charges for violating Section 5, Article II of Republic Act 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
The operation was carried out with no casualties or injuries, and all personnel involved are safe and accounted for. (Eva Visperas)
