
PDEA seizes shabu worth P3.5M in Urdaneta
A joint buy-bust operation conducted by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) and the Philippine National Police resulted in the seizure of over P3 million worth of shabu and the arrest of a suspected drug dealer on March 11 in Barangay Catablan, Urdaneta City.
Operatives from the PDEA Pangasinan Provincial Office, supported by the police, recovered 75 grams of suspected shabu valued at P510,000 during the transaction. An additional 450 grams of the same substance, with an estimated value of P3.06 million was recovered.
Other non-drug-related evidence included personal items and several weapons, including a Cal. 45 pistol, seven live rounds of ammunition, and a magazine assembly for the firearm, among others.
The arrested individual was identified as Rodel Dizon, 57, a resident of Barangay Catablan, Urdaneta City, who is now facing multiple charges for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act and Republic Act 10591 in relation to the election-related gun ban currently in effect.
No personnel were harmed during the operation, and all individuals involved are safe and accounted for. (Eva Visperas)
