Mothers get priority access to Dagupan’s UnliSerbisyo
SOME 3,500 mothers from 18 of the 31 barangays in Dagupan City, headed by their respective focal persons, were inducted on Thursday as members of the Maaron Ina, a new group that will craft and push major agenda for mothers and their families.
Organized by Mayor Belen Fernandez as part of the observance of Women’s Month this March, Maaron Ina will serve as the conduit of the city government to provide mothers with easier and faster access to the local government programs and services.
“Ang Ina ay ilaw ng tahanan,” she said, vowing to also put up help desks in every department of the city government that will give priority to mothers.
She also announced that the city government recently purchased a mammogram and an updated ultrasound machine to benefit mothers and other women in the city.
The other 13 barangays of Dagupan are now organizing their respective chapters of Maaron Ina.
