Capitol seeks more partnerships to boost medical services
THE Pangasinan government plans to partner with more organizations to expand assistance and support to persons with disability (PWDs) after the successful opening of the country’s first Prosthesis and Orthosis Center and Mobile Clinic at the Lingayen District Hospital (LDH) in partnership with Physicians for Peace Philippines in the country last year.
Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO) head Annabel Roque cited the 125 PWDs, 73 in 2023 and 52 last year who were given prosthesis by the Kapampangan Development Foundation, Inc. (KDFI), while more than P5 million worth of resource mobilization project was allotted in the past two years.
Last year, Gov. Ramon Guico III said the provincial government is seeking more partnerships with foreign medical foundations to boost medical services to Pangasinenses.
The project was initiated by the governor’s mother, Arlyn Grace Guico, a doctor. (PIMRO/RFR)
