Rep. De Venecia hails 4th District LGUs’ SGFH
FOURTH District Representative Christopher de Venecia applauded the local governments in his district — Dagupan City, and the towns of Mangaldan, San Fabian, San Jacinto, and Manaoag — for each earning the 2024 Seal of Good Financial Housekeeping from the national government.
“This recognition was achieved by them through the unity of their people and their endless sacrifices to improve their service. I hope that this will serve as an inspiration for all of them to further push for the highest level of governance and service in their respective areas,” De Venecia said in a press statement.
For Manaoag, the top tourist destination in Pangasinan because of its Minor Basilica of Our Lady of Rosary, he cited that a new Pasalubong Center in front of the church, a project he initiated, is set to be operational this year.
In the case of Dagupan City, dubbed as a “Diamond City,” it continues to take its premier role as the center of culture and education in the province, where according to De Venecia, the MacArthur Memorial, Edades and Bernal Museums and the Calmay Bridge will all soon rise to compliment the boardwalk in Tondaligan that is already in place.
The boardwalk in Bolasi, San Fabian that will be linked to Tondaligan, Dagupan will provide the longest bikers’ route in the province once rehabilitation is completed.
De Venecia also noted the growing popularity of festivals such as the Bangus Festival in Dagupan, Galicayo Festival in Manaoag, Pindang Festival in Mangaldan, Darayat Festival in San Fabian, and the Galila Arts Festival that is celebrated in the entire district. (Leonardo Micua)
