Tanod killed in broad daylight shooting in Calasiao
A barangay tanod was fatally shot in a brazen attack in Barangay San Miguel, Calasiao town at approximately 9:30 AM on February 24, 2025.
The victim, Michael Meneses, a resident of Barangay San Miguel, was resting in a nipa hut when he was ambushed by two unidentified male suspects.
According to initial reports, the assailants, both wearing black jackets, approached Meneses and opened fire, hitting him multiple times. The suspects then fled the scene on foot, disappearing in an unknown direction.
Meneses sustained severe gunshot wounds to various parts of his body and was declared dead on the spot by responding medical personnel. (Eva Visperas)
