Motorcycle accident kills beautician
A beautician was killed and his passenger injured after their motorcycle collided with an oncoming vehicle in Sta. Barbara. The beautician, Anthony Dela Cruz Guttang, a 42-year-old, and his backrider Mark Anthony Alano Nartatez, 29, also a resident of Sta. Barbara, were traveling on a motorcycle along the barangay road in Poblacion Norte when they were struck by an oncoming motorcycle operated by Samuel Garcia Fernandez, a 43-year-old construction worker.
Fernandez and his passenger, 35-year-old Jayson Bariwan Tuliao, also a construction worker, were reportedly under the influence of alcohol, and were not wearing helmets at the time of the crash. Nartatez suffered injuries from the collision. Emergency responders rushed them to a nearby hospital, however, Guttang was declared dead on arrival.

Man nabbed in drug ops, yields shabu, gun
A 40-year-old man was arrested and is now facing charges after being caught with illegal drugs and a firearm in Pozorrubio in a buy-bust operation at the Sports Complex in Barangay Cablong.
The local police conducted an anti-drug against the suspect, Rafael Libantino Jose, also known as “Raffy,” a resident of Acacia Street in Barangay Alipangpang. During the operation, authorities seized five packets of suspected shabu weighing approximately two grams, with a total estimated street value of P13,600. A.38 caliber revolver containing four bullets found in possession was also seized. his and a motorcycle. Charges are being prepared against the suspect for violations of Sections 5 and 11, Article II of R.A. No. 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act) as well as R.A. No. 10591 (Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act) in line with Comelec Resolution No. 11067, which enforces the election gun ban.

Five nabbed for drug possession, theft
POLICE arrested five individuals for theft and illegal drug possession in Manaoag town. An 82-year-old complainant Ofelia Sazon Antonio, a widow residing in Angeles City, Pampanga, reported the loss of her gold necklace valued at over P100,000 to the Manaoag Police Station. Antonio claimed that she was at the Minor Basilica of Our Lady of the Rosary of Manaoag when a group approached her, one of whom bumped into her.
The police reviewed a CCTV footage, that led to the identification of the suspects in Brgy. Calaocan, Manaoag, all from Ilocos Sur: Analyn Ibatuan Trinasa, 48, Editha Ibatuan Ilar, 47, a vendor; Randel Fortez Imperio, 27; Ranny Maqui Ilar, 20, and Prisila Anua Sinco, 71. During their detention, authorities discovered two packets containing suspected shabu in Maqui Ilar’s possession.

Sales coordinator nabbed in search warrant ops
IN a recent police operation, Windy Camangian Vinoya, 34, a sales coordinator, residing in a subdivision in Barangay Buenlag, Calasiao town was arrested after authorities raided her residence and confiscated illegal drugs.
During the raid, police seized approximately five grams of suspected shabu, valued at ₱34,000, found in three separate packages. Also recovered an improvised glass water pipe containing an unknown liquid substance, a .40 caliber pistol along with a magazine assembly, a bullet for the said firearm, a 9mm revolver, two grenades, 10 additional bullets for the .40 caliber pistol, rolled aluminum foil, eight glass tube tooters, and various other paraphernalia related to illegal drug use. The suspect is currently undergoing drug testing, and the confiscated items are being examined by the PNP City Forensic Unit in Urdaneta City, Pangasinan.

Three nabbed in Rosales drug raid
THE Rosales Police Station apprehended three persons during a raid on a suspected drug session at a residence in Rosales town.
The operation followed a report from Barangay Captain Jesus Cabudoy of Brgy. San Bartolome, who alerted the police about the illegal activities in his community. Responding officers arrived to find the suspects actively using shabu. Arrested were Andy John Tagalog Bulatao, 34, a security guard from San Carlos City; Felix Opiaza Mendoza Jr., 45, a construction worker residing in Purok 2, Brgy. San Bartolome; and Mar Acosta Alina, 50, who also lives in the area and whose house was being used.
Authorities seized two packages of suspected shabu, concealed within a cigarette pack, weighing 0.52 grams with P3,536 street value. Also seized were three improvised tooters made from aluminum foil, a mobile phone, and a lighter from Bulatao’s possession. Cases are being prepared against the arrested individuals.
Meanwhile, in Bayamabang town, Justine Gabriel Oredain La Torre, 22-year-old farmer residing in Brgy. San Gabriel 2nd, , a man was apprehended for alleged marijuana trafficking in Purok 1, Brgy. Manambong Sur. He reportedly sold a package of suspected dried marijuana leaves to an undercover officer for P500.
