3 nabbed in Dagupan drug-bust ops, yield P54K shabu

THREE men were arrested in a police operation on suspicion of drug trafficking, with authorities seizing eight grams of suspected shabu valued at over ₱54,000.

The arrest took place during a buy-bust operation in Barangay Pantal, Dagupan, resulting in the capture of the primary suspect identified as alias “George”, a 24-year-old tricycle driver and resident of the city, along with a 36-year-old male companion, also a local resident.

Local fisherman drowns in Dasol

A fisherman’s body was recovered from the waters off Dasol town, later identified as 41-year old Juanito Peralta Paningbatan.

A father of one, he ventured out to sea to fish at around 5 a.m., February 3, but failed to return home. His mother reported his disappearance to authorities, prompting a search and rescue operation in the area.

A team of rescue divers was quickly dispatched to the site and recovered Juanito’s body around 2:45 p.m. Efforts to revive him failed and he was pronounced dead on arrival at the local hospital.

Motorcyclist dead in road mishap

A fatal crash occurred in Rosales, claiming the life of 18-year-old Roland Tily Delfin, a young motorcyclist who lost control of his vehicle and crashed into a dense acacia tree.

Despite being rushed to the hospital, the injuries he sustained were too severe, and he was pronounced dead on arrival.

Eyewitnesses revealed that the fatality was under the influence of an unknown substance at the time of the incident.

House razed after leaving cooking pot unattended

A scrap collector’s home in Barangay Nibaliw in Mangaldan went up in flames after the owner left his cooking unattended, investigators said.

At around 7 p.m., 55-year-old Felix Gutierrez Ubando stepped out to buy liquor from a nearby store and left a cooking pot on the fire.

His neighbors first noticed the fire and immediately called the Bureau of Fire Protection. By 8 p.m., the house had already been engulfed in flames. No one was reported injured or hurt in the incident. The investigation into the cause of the fire is still ongoing.

Man hospitalized in Agno after assault

A man was rushed to the hospital after experiencing vomiting, dizziness, and severe headaches following an assault by several persons in the town of Agno.

The victim was identified as Conrado Dionisio Soriano, a 51-year-old rental property owner, who resides in the area. According to police investigations, an argument broke out between the victim and a man named Raiven Laulita in the early hours of Tuesday, February 4. Following the altercation, Conrado was subsequently attacked by several unidentified men.

Elena Dionisio Soriano, a 55-year-old resident of Barangay Tupa reported the incident to the police. She said the attack occurred during a wake. Authorities are still investigating the incident.

Construction worker stabbed amid drinking spree

A 40-year-old construction worker sustained a chest wound after being stabbed while socializing with friends in San Fabian. The victim, identified as Joseph Nabua Urayenza, was enjoying drinks with acquaintances in Barangay Sagud-Bahley when the suspect, 55-year-old Bernard Gario Dino, arrived and quickly fled the scene after the attack.

Authorities rushed Urayenza to the hospital for medical treatment, while police launched a manhunt for Dino, who is also a resident of the area. The investigation is ongoing as officers work to apprehend the suspect.

Man stabbed in Binalonan bar

A 27-year-old man was rushed to the hospital after being stabbed in a bar in Barangay Poblacion, Binalonan.

The victim, a local resident and vendor, was with friends at the bar when a 38-year-old suspect arrived on a motorcycle and stabbed him with a screwdriver. The suspect then fled the scene, but was later caught by the community and turned over to the police.
