Motorcycle stolen while owner watches festival
A motorcycle owned by John Dave Gandia was stolen while he was watching the Kirmat Festival Street Dancing Competition in Malasiqui town last week.
According to the police report, he parked his motorcycle near the church to watch the festival, but discovered upon his return that his vehicle had been taken. He is coordinating with the Malasiqui Police to recover his stolen vehicle.

Motorcycle thieves strike in Santo Tomas
STILL unidentified thieves broke into the house of Michael John Agustin in Barangay San Marcos, Sto. Tomas and took off with his motorcycle between midnight and 1 a.m. Monday, January 19.
Agustin told the police he spotted the thieves making off with his motorcycle but was unable to catch up with them. Police investigation is ongoing.

Drunk dad nabbed for attempting to stab son
A 57-year-old father is currently behind bars after his own son filed a complaint against him for attempting to stab him to death while under the influence of alcohol.
According to the victim, Van Lyndon Alverne Rivera, 35, a resident of Legaspi, Tayug, his father, Ramil Noces Rivera, a resident of Purok 4, Batchelor East, Natividad, tried to stab him with a bolo while intoxicated. The suspect allegedly became unruly and violent in their neighborhood, prompting a barangay kagawad to intervene.
The incident occurred after the father and son got into an argument over the father’s frequent unruly behavior when drunk. The suspect’s attempt to stab his son was foiled by the barangay official, but he reportedly tried again, this time using a pair of scissors.

Fisherman drowns after boat overturns
A fisherman from Barangay Luciente 2nd in Bolinao drowned after his fishing net got entangled and caused his boat to overturn.
According to eyewitnesses, the accident happened when the fishing net attached to the fisherman’s boat, got entangled in the water.
The body of the victim was recovered by Bolinao and Anda Coast Guard personnel and brought to the local health facility, where he was declared dead on arrival.

Teenage passenger texting falls off tricycle
A 17-year-old girl suffered minor injuries after falling off a tricycle in Calzada, Mabini. The incident occurred on a barangay road in Sitio Cabilocaan, where the girl is a resident.
The tricycle driver, Emelio Caranay Taoatao, 45, of Sitio Cabilocaan, Brgy. Calzada, Mabini, picked up the girl as she was walking on the road. The girl sat behind the driver, but lost her balance when the tricycle reached a rough part of the road while she was busy using her mobile phone.

Child injured in motorcycle collision with SUV in Burgos
An eight-year-old boy sustained injuries in various parts of his body after the motorcycle his grandfather was riding collided with an SUV along the barangay road in Don Matias, Burgos, while neither driver sustained injuries.
According to police reports, the SUV driver, Vida Catalina Nacorda Gabunilas, 43, from Sitio Cabongaoan, Barangay Ilio-Ilio, Burgos signaled before making a turn, but this was not noticed in time by the motorcycle driver, 72-year-old Melecio Balmana Ancheta, who was transporting his grandson at the time of the accident.
