THE foursome of Larry Ferim, Pete Sabalo, Arnold Padlan and Zedy Cruz, known as Team Semilya, ran away with the championship after scoring 15,962 points in the five-day 3 MS Bowling Tournament at the CSI Bowling Center in Dagupan City, which ended last December 21.

Team Semilya dueledpin for pin with its rival Team Boss Jr. and sealed the victory during the fifth day of the tournament when it scored 2,738 pinfalls against the latter’s 2,585 to grab the lead for good.

Sponsored by businessman and bowler Mike Sim, the tournament attracted seven teams, whose members are all playing for the Dagupan Tenpin Bowling Inc.

Team Boss Jr., composed of Bien Visperas, Carlos Sibuma, Fernando Dumpit Celso Maguba and Jr. Bernardo, was first runner-up after amassing 15,885 points.

The second-runner-up honor went to Team Fabrico, composed of John Zamora, Doy Bandarlipe, Cathy Ong and Archie Co, after carding  a 15,655 over-all score.

The foursome of Mike Sim, JJ Co, Clem Salazar and Marlon Calimlim, known as Team Chinoy, grabbed the third runner-up honor with a five-day score of 15,636, followed by the Team 1 at 15,404; Team 3, 15,032; and Team 7, 14,696. (Leonardo Micua)
