TO ensure the safety of its frontliners and volunteers, the Local Government of Dagupan, together with the Department of Health (DOH), conducted a flu vaccination as part of the regular health program of the city.  Mayor Belen T. Fernandez led the flu vaccination of the Barangay Health Workers, Barangay Nutrition Scholars and Barangay Service Point Officer today, December 9, at the City Plaza.

This event was made possible by the DOH and City Health Office to help accelerate the city’s efforts towards strengthening the health of the people which improves the overall progress of Dagupan. (Dagupan CIO News)

DOH’S 2ND SUPER HEALTH CENTER SOON TO RISE IN BARANGAY MALUED!

TO further make health services easily accessible to barangay residents, the construction of the second Super Health Center (SHC) in Barangay Malued in Dagupan was made possible by the Department of Health (DOH).

According to Mayor Belen T. Fernandez, like the SHC in  Barangay Bolosan that benefitted residents in the eastern barangays that served some 2,000 consultations and out-patient services every month, the SHC in Malued will serve residents in Lasip Chico, Pogo Grande, Pogo Chico, Tapuac, and Lucao. For this, she expressed the city government’s gratitude to  DOH Region 1 led by Regional Director Dr. Paula Paz Sydiongco, Asec. Dr. Maria Rosario Vergerie and DOH Secretary Ted Herbosa.

She also thanked the support of the Sangguniang Panlungsod led by the new majority – Vice Mayor Bryan Kua, Councilors Michael Fernandez, Jigs Seen, Dennis Canto, Lino Fernandez and Bradley Benavides. “Kailangan namin ang tulong ng bawat isa – mga barangay officials, Kap Pheng and the council, barangay volunteers, lahat ng BHW, BNS, BSPO na tumutulong na umiikot sa bawat tahanan upang tiyakin ang kalusugan ng lahat.” Mayor Belen said. SEC. ANGARA’S 3-STOREY MULTI-PURPOSE BUILDING TURNED OVER TO BRGY. BONUAN BOQUIG

THE newly constructed multi-purpose building made possible by then Senator, now DepEd Sec. Sonny Angara was officially unveiled and turned over by Mayor Belen T. Fernandez to the residents of Barangay Bonuan Boquig  to cater to residents of ONE BONUAN (Barangays Bonuan Gueset, Boquig and Binloc).

The mayor thanked Atty. Ope Reyna, chairman of the Dagupan City People’s Council for facilitating the required process for the project, and manifested the city government’s special thanks to DepEd Secretary Sonny Angara for sponsoring this very timely project. “He’s been a good friend, a brother for all Dagupeños. We are very grateful, I’m sure he’s happy that his project now benefits the citizens of Dagupan, especially here in One Bonuan,” she said.  Barangay Captain Joseph Maramba thanked the city government, adding that the multipurpose building that can serve as an evacuation center.  (Dagupan CIO News)
