CALASIAO kicked off its annual festivities for its iconic product, the puto, last December 10 with a Thanksgiving Mass at the St. Peter and Paul Parish Church.

Mayor Kevin Roy Macanlalay said the six-day Puto Festival will have different activities, including the Ms. Puto Calasiao Pageant, Street Dancing Competition, Farm Family Day, Puto Construction and Design, Grand Zumba, and Tugtugan sa Bayan Music Fest.

The Best Ways to Serve Puto competition will still be one of the highlights, where new popular flavors have been discovered in previous years.

“Every now and then, naghahanap pa rin kami kung ano ang pwede, kung paano i-serve para mas masarap at mas magugustuhan ng ating mga kababayan,” he said. (Kim Gealogo)
