Sison shines in Urdaneta Dancesport competition
THE Latinissimo DanceSport Team of the Alejandro F. Oligan National High School in Sison put on an outstanding performance and bagged 14 gold, 12 silver, and two bronze medals during the Urdaneta City Fiesta Open DanceSport Competition last December 7 at the Urdaneta Cultural and Sports Complex.
Among the gold medalists are Lebron Dwayne Giltedez (Solo Youth Standard ChaCha, Rumba, Jive), Mark Morales (Solo Youth Standard Waltz, Tango, Quickstep), Jimbrex Garcera and Kathleen Oligo (Inter High School Latin Couple Event), Mark Morales and Jherelyn Ovido(Inter High Standard Couple Event), Almerald Lukban and Jherelyn Oliva (Youth D Couple Event).
The silver medalists include Jimbrex Garcera (Solo Youth Standard, Rumba, Jive), Almerald Lukban (Solo Youth Waltz, Tango, Quickstep), Mark Morales and Jherelyn Olivo (Youth A and B Standard), Almerald Lukban and Jherelyn Olivo (Youth C Standard).
Jimbrex Garcera and Kathleen Oliva grabbed the bronze in Youth A Latin Couples and the pair of Almerald Lukban and Jherelyn Olivo duplicated the same feat in Youth C Closed Standard Couples Event.
Mentored by Lucky Ubaldo and Lemuel Seb, the Latinissimo DanceSport Team will further hone their dance style and skills in preparation for regional and national competitions. (Kim Gealogo)
