Robbers take P3M from gas station in Umingan
IN a brazen daytime robbery, two gas station employees in Umingan were held up on their way to the bank and lost the P3 million intended for deposit. The victims, identified as 23-year-old Monalee Agustin Soriano, a secretary at the gas station from Bugallon, and 29-year-old Bernabe Pistaño Clarin, an employee residing in San Isidro, Nueva Ecija, reported the incident to local authorities.
According to their account, they were on a motorcycle heading to a bank in Barangay Poblacion just after 10 a.m. when they were allegedly stopped by two men riding a skeletal-type motorcycle. The suspects reportedly forced them to pull over to the side of the road and held them at gunpoint before taking the bag containing the cash.
Witnesses reported that one of the suspects was wearing a blue and white long-sleeved shirt, while the attire of the second suspect remains unknown. Local police are currently investigating the incident and reviewing security footage from nearby establishments to identify the perpetrators.

Construction worker stabbed to death by security guard
A construction worker was killed after being stabbed by a security guard in Urdaneta City. The incident occurred on Bayabas Street in Barangay San Vicente, where the victim was identified as 44-year-old Miguel Dela Cruz Bautista while the suspect was 47-year-old Manuel Visperas Segundo, both local residents.
According to police investigation, Bautista was walking home when he encountered Segundo, who suddenly shouted at him, leading to a heated argument between the two. Segundo then returned to his home, armed himself with a knife, and went back to stab Bautista multiple times before fleeing the scene.
Emergency responders rushed the victim to the hospital, where he was declared dead on arrival. Meanwhile, police were able to immediately arrest the suspect.

Homeless woman killed by bus in Dagupan
A homeless woman was killed after being struck by a bus while walking on the streets in Dagupan City.
The victim, identified as Liberty Ferrer Abalos, a 63-year-old resident of Sitio Parongking in Barangay San Miguel, was walking along Calasiao-Dagupan Road in Barangay Mayombo when the accident occurred.
The driver was identified as 39-year-old Ricky Boy Semacio Concepcion, a resident of Entablado, Cabiao in Nueva Ecija.

Man stabbed by relative after drinking spree
A 22-year-old man sustained injuries after being stabbed by a relative during a drinking session in their backyard in Aguilar. The victim was identified as Delfin Biag Dela Cruz, a construction worker, while the suspect is 55-year-old Virgilio Maneclang Biag, both residents of Barangay Buer.
According to police investigation, the suspect and the victim were drinking together when a misunderstanding escalated into a heated argument. The suspect then entered their house, quickly emerged, and stabbed the victim in the chest. The victim was swiftly transported to a hospital for medical treatment.
Authorities apprehended the suspect during a hot pursuit operation, recovering the weapon used in the stabbing. Cases are now being prepared against him.

Man is stabbed during wake
AUTHORITIES in Dagupan City are searching for a suspect after a man was stabbed during a wake. The victim, 42-year-old Abraham Estanilla Apostol, was attending a wake in Barangay Mangin when he got into an altercation with the suspect, identified as Reynan Bustilio Paras, a resident of Barangay Tebeng.
According to reports, the suspect left the area but returned armed with a bladed weapon and attacked Apostol, inflicting a stab wound to the left side of his chest.
Emergency services responded to the incident, and the victim was rushed to the hospital for treatment. Meanwhile, police are actively pursuing the suspect, who remains at large.

Construction worker drowns after falling from hammock near river
A construction worker drowned after falling from a hammock that was hanging from a tree on a riverbank in Dagupan City. The victim was identified as 36-year-old Jomar Terrado, a resident of Lasip Chico.
According to police investigation, Jomar’s brother, Jerome Terrado, saw him asleep in the hammock, left, then returned and found the hammock empty, with only Jomar’s sandals, cellphone, and wallet at the scene.
Fearing for his brother’s safety, Jerome and others began searching for Jomar. Sadly, they later found his lifeless body floating in the river. Despite being rushed to a local medical facility, he was declared dead on arrival due to drowning.
