Mangaldan slaughterhouse 3rd most improved in R1
MANGALDAN’S Municipal Slaughterhouse was awarded the 3rd Most Improved and Maintained Meat Establishment in Region 1 by the National Meat Inspection Service (NMIS) for the Slaughterhouse and Poultry Dressing Plant Local Government Unit (LGU) category following a rigorous audit focused on hygiene and sanitation among over 100 abattoirs in the region.
Under the private sector category, Nenette’s Poultry Dressing Plant in the same town was also recognized as the Top 3 Most Improved and Maintained Meat Establishment.
The LGU award was presented by Aris Morales, OIC/Slaughterhouse Master III, and Lorna Muñoz, Administrative Aide III, to Mayor Bona Fe de Vera-Parayno.
Additionally, Francis Joseph Santos, Administrative Aide III, was acknowledged for his role in maintaining cleanliness and order within the Mangaldan Municipal Slaughterhouse, ensuring the safety and quality of meat sold in the local public market and neighboring provinces.
Muñoz was also again honored for her role as a deputized meat inspector for this establishment. (Ahikam Pasion)
