THE Central Pangasinan Electric Cooperative (Cenpelco) reported no significant damage to its power lines or poles in the aftermath of Typhoon Pepito.

Engr. Rodrigo Corpuz, Cenpelco general manager, noted fewer power outages in the service areas of the power supplier before, during and after the typhoon.

He said Cenpelco continues to conduct clearing operations, especially in households that need immediate assistance to prevent incidents of fire and electrocution.

Cenpelco crews also assisted other electric utilities that serve neighboring areas within the province that experienced severe or major damage from Typhoon Pepito so that service could be immediately restored.

The energy cooperative covers western parts of the province, including the towns of Mangaldan, Lingayen, Bugallon, Labrador, Sual, Bayambang, Malasiqui, Binmaley, Aguilar, Mangatarem, Urbiztondo, Basista, Bautista, and Alcala, and San Carlos City. (Kim Gealogo)
