Dismissed foreman steals construction materials
AUTHORITIES are currently searching for a foreman who allegedly stole over one hundred bags of cement in the town of Mabini after being dismissed from the job allegedly due to insubordination.
A 23-year-old site engineer reported the theft to the police, identifying the suspect as a 39-year foreman from Bulan, Sorsogon. The theft occurred at around 10 p.m. at a construction site of a transmission line of the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) in Barangay Tagudin.

P1M in jewelry, cash stolen from retired government employee
AUTHORITIES in Laoac are investigating a burglary reported by a retired government employee, who claims to have lost valuables worth over P1 million.
The 78-year-old complainant returned home from a vacation in San Carlos City, only to discover that her jewelry, valued at about P500,000, and cash amounting to P600,000 were missing. The items were stored in a drawer of her wardrobe. In addition to the stolen items, the victim’s belongings had been scattered throughout her home. The police is currently reviewing CCTV footage from the area to identify and track the possible escape route of the suspects.

22-year-old man dies in motorcycle accident
A 22-year-old man lost his life after his motorcycle crashed into an electric pole in Mangaldan.
The victim was riding along the barangay road in Landas when he crashed into the pole, resulting in severe injuries. He was rushed to a local hospital but was declared dead on arrival by the attending physician.

Delivery man killed in Dagupan road mishap
A 24-year-old delivery man died after he was struck by an AUV driven by a 55-year-old medical representative in Barangay Lucao, Dagupan City.
The impact of the collision was so severe that the victim, a resident of Caranglaan District in the city, was thrown into an oncoming tricycle. The driver, also a Dagupan resident, and a passenger were unharmed.

Hit-and-run incident claims two lives in Urdaneta City
A hit-and-run incident claimed two lives in Urdaneta City, a 21-year-old motorcycle driver and a 29-year-old man, while a third victim, an 18-year-old student, was injured and still unconscious when brought to the hospital.
Authorities reported that the driver of an aluminum truck van with license plate CAL 2825 that hit them has yet to be identified. According to an eyewitness, the truck struck the motorcycle from behind as it was entering a warehouse. Following the collision, the driver of the truck fled the scene.

Seaman injured from fallen tree
A 55-year-old seaman was injured when a tree fell on his SUV while he was driving along a provincial road in Barangay Magallanes in Tayug town at the height of Typhoon Pepito.
Abner Bigueras Mantilla from Barangay Bascaran in Solano, Nueva Vizcaya, was navigating the road when a camachile tree collapsed onto his vehicle, triggered by strong winds associated with the storm. The impact caused multiple injuries to Mantilla, who was promptly transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Woman nabbed for stabbing niece, injuring daughter
A 52-year-old woman was arrested after allegedly stabbing her niece and injuring her own daughter in Mangaldan.
The incident took place in the woman’s kitchen in Barangay Palua, where she was drinking alone when an argument broke out with her 26-year-old niece, who works as a helper. In a fit of rage, the woman grabbed a knife and attacked her niece. A driver, who witnessed the altercation, intervened and noticed that the niece was bleeding from her shoulder. The woman’s 15-year-old daughter was also injured in the elbow during the altercation. The suspect was apprehended by authorities, while the victims were rushed to the hospital for treatment.
