San Nicolas receives 2023 Good Governance Seal
THE town of San Nicolas received the 2023 Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG) the highest form of recognition given by the Department of the Interior and Local Government for efficient and effective management and public service delivery.
Mayor Alicia Primicias-Enriquez said the seal serves as a testimony of effective fund management, disaster preparedness, and the provision of quality education and healthcare services.
“I would like to express my gratitude to each one of you — our public servants, staff, and most importantly, our constituents — for your unwavering support and trust. This achievement is not solely mine, but a victory for every San Nicolanian,” she said.
Meanwhile, Nicolas kicked off the holiday season celebration with the opening of the Christmas in the Park on Saturday, November 16.
The festivities began with a Holy Mass led by Rev. Fr. Farley Castro, followed by performances of talented San Nicolanians, and inspiring messages from the mayor and her sister, 6th District Representative Marlyn Primicias-Agabas.
The evening culminated with a fireworks display that illuminated the sky of the entire town. (Erica Ortiz/Intern)
