OPERATIVES from the National Bureau of Investigation-Alaminos District Office (NBI-ALDO) apprehended a man on Thursday for allegedly kidnapping the minor children of his former live-in partner.

The mother filed a complaint and sought assistance from the NBI after the accused failed to return her daughters in July as they agreed upon when she entrusted them to him about a month earlier.

Following the complaint, NBI agents launched a rescue operation and located the suspect in Barangay Cuence, Pugo, where they also found the children and immediately took them into protective custody.

The children have since been handed over to the Dagupan City Social Welfare and Development Office as the investigation into the case continues.

The NBI is withholding the identity of the concerned individuals as the case is considered sensitive with the involvement of children. (Ahikam Pasion)
