Ex-Calasiao barangay chair gunned down, wife wounded
A FORMER barangay captain in Calasiao was killed while his wife was wounded in a drive-by gun attack Sunday morning in the town’s Barangay San Miguel.
Killed was Dexter Jimenez, 58, while his wife Marites Jimenez, 61, both from Barangay Gabon, is recovering in a hospital.
The attack took place around 9:30 a.m. as the victims, on board their black Toyota Innova, fetched a lady friend in Barangay San Miguel.
The perpetrators, on board a sedan, alighted and fired at the victims’ vehicle and immediately fled.
Dexter sustained gunshot wounds on his head and different parts of his body that caused his instantaneous death while his wife, who also sustained gunshot wounds, was brought to a hospital.
Their friend was unharmed. (Eva Visperas)
