THE Night Ballers Basketball League Season 3 fired off on November 6 at the Calasiao Sports Complex with the participation of 10 hoops clubs that will complete in a single round-robin tournament format.

A heavy triple-header unfurled during the league’s opener.

In the first match, the GPM Ballers staved off Tomas Kambingan in a hard-fought action, 71-65. In the second game, Team Victory rolled past VBF MKTG, 80-70, while GameHaus took down JMACKS, 91-79, to cap off the opening night.

Vince Caldona, co-founder of the Night Ballers League, said the seasonal basketball tilt aims to build camaraderie, steer the players away from negative vices, and develop the skills of amateur athletes.

“We use this sport to build sportsmanship, expose the talents of players in different barangays and hoops clubs, and instilling the value of discipline on and off the court,” Caldona said. (Kim Gealogo)
