A taste of winter in Sta. Barbara
THE local government of Sta. Barbara brought a touch of winter to its Christmas lighting ceremony on October 28 with make-believe snow that thrilled the crowd.
“This Christmas lighting is a symbol of our community’s spirit and our shared joy in the season,” said Mayor Carlito Zaplan who led the celebration at the MDRRMO building in the town’s Poblacion.
Santa Claus also made a special appearance and helped in distributing chocolates and candies to children.
On the same evening, the local government issued an advisory to residents to be prepared for potential heavy rain in the coming days due to storm Leon. (Jamella G. Samano/Intern)
