BARANGAY Palamis emerged victorious in the title match of the 2^nd National Amateur Basketball Referees Organization (NABRO) U25 Inter-Barangay Basketball Cup after trouncing Barangay Poblacion in a nail-biting, 94-93, last October 26 at the Hon. Anton Perez Sports Complex in Alaminos City.

Trailing at 92-93 with 20 seconds remaining, Barangay Palamis’ Yesean Advincula got fouled and made a put-back layup to take the lead, 94-93. Advincula missed the free-throw, but grabbed the offensive rebound to seal the championship for Barangay Palamis.

In the battle for third, Barangay Lucap clobbered Barangay Bued, 87-76, to claim the 2^nd runner up trophy.
Organized by the NABRO District I Pangasinan, the cagefest was joined by 39 teams.

“This year’s basketball cup was a success as we received tremendous support from the players, coaches, and to the avid live viewers. We’ll continue to hold events and develop grassroots level programs,” NABRO District I head Michael Napolitano said. (Kim Gealogo)
