FIVE Para-athletes from Mangaldan took the spotlight in the annual Provincial Para-Games Tryout last October 10 at the Narciso Ramos Sports and Civic Center in Lingayen to qualify in the National Para Games on November 10.

Among the national qualifiers are Eughie Fontanilla (1^st place, Discuss Throw), Precious Brendale Cruz (2^nd place, 400m Run, 3^rd place Shotput), Ginalyn Piscador (1^st place Shotput, 1^stplace 100m Run), James Emaas (2^nd place, 100m Run), and Mel Christian Fernandez (1^st place, Shotput).

“Their participation for the upcoming big event is not only an avenue for competition but also a celebration of the resilience and determination of our persons with disabilities,” Benigno De Guzman, focal person on Persons with Disability Affairs Office (PDAO) of the Mangaldan local government, said.
