BAYAMBANG is seen to become a go-to town for healing and wellness in North Luzon with the inauguration of the JKQ Medical and Wellness Center on October 18.

The state-of-the-art, six-story facility spans two hectares with a 100-bed capacity, placing it as a Level 2 general hospital status. It will be staffed by 250 general practitioners and specialists — along with 350 medical professionals, including nurses and healthcare specialists.

Former Mayor Cezar Quiambao, describes the center as a “sanctuary of healing,” which he said represents the realization of a dream to create a space where individuals can find solace, support, and top-quality medical care.”

“At JKQ Medical, we assure that every patient who enters our doors will receive the highest standard of health care, regardless of their background or circumstances,” he said.

The center is managed by The Medical City (TMC), the largest healthcare network in the Philippines with a flagship complex in Pasig City, four provincial hospitals, and 50 clinics across Metro Manila and select provinces.

Named in honor of the late Julius K. Quiambao, son of Dr. Quiambao, JKQ Medical aims to embody his legacy of compassion and caring by providing a wide range of medical and wellness services, including major and moderate surgeries, primary healthcare, laboratory and diagnostic services, emergency and acute care, and intensive care.

It will also feature specialized centers for eye care, women’s health, and mental wellness, as well as advanced imaging services such as CT scans, 3D ultrasounds, MRI, and cone beam computed tomography. (Eva Visperas)
