6th District Inter-Town Volleyball Tournament kicks-off
THE inaugural 6th District of Pangasinan Inter-Town Versusan Men’s Volleyball Tournament reeled off on October 6 at the Delfin U. Romero Sports Complex in San Quintin with 12 volleyball clubs participating.
The teams that will contend for the title are Balungao Men’s Volleyball Team, Umingan Volleyball, Umingan Volleyball Club, Queen B Seniors and Juniors Team of San Quintin, Santa Maria De Pila Spikers, San Manuel Volleyball Club, Asingan Volleyball Club, Volleyball Thunders A and B Team of Natividad, San Juan Volleyball Club, Outliers Balungao, and Tayug Empire.
During the tournament’s opener, host San Quintin Seniors Team outclassed Natividad, 25-18, 25-16, 25-20. In the second match, Balungao drubbed San Quintin Juniors Team in three convincing sets, 25-12, 25-17, 25-15.
Organized by SQ Versusan, a volleyball club in San Quintin, the inter-town volleyball tilt aims to develop the skills of homegrown athletes and promote the sport for a healthy lifestyle in their communities.
