THE Pangasinan Police Provincial Office (PPPO) called for continued participation and cooperation from the community as it lauded the crucial role of concerned citizens in the successful arrest of a high-value drug target on October 3.

Newly-designated Provincial Director P/Col Rollyfer Capoquian said the operation yielded a positive result due to the vigilance of citizens who reported the suspicious activities of a 42-year-old male from Mangaldan who was found to have 55 grams of suspected shabu, worth approximately P374,000.

P/Lt. Col. Benjamin Zarate, Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit head, said the suspect was identified through a tip from a concerned citizen and subsequent intelligence gathering.

Capoquian said the successful arrest is proof that community cooperation, such as reporting suspicious activities and working closely with police, is important in the ongoing fight against illegal activities, particularly in tackling the issue of illegal drug-related crimes. (PIA Pangasinan/EMSA)
