NASA 1,673 senior citizens mula sa Barangay 1, 2 & 3 at 4, Bacayao Sur, Bolosan, Lasip Grande, Lucao, Mangin, Mayombo, Salapingao, at Tebeng ang tumanggap ng kanilang social pension bilang suporta sa kanilang pang araw-araw at pangangailangang medikal.

Pinangunahan ni Mayor Belen T. Fernandez ang pasasalamat sa nasyonal na gobyerno sa patuloy na pagpapaabot ng suporta para sa mga Dagupeño senior citizens sa tulong ng Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), City of Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO), at Office of the Senior Citizens Affairs (OSCA) at mga BASCA Presidents ng naturang 11 barangays. MAS MAAYOS, MATIBAY, AT LIGTAS NA ‘MANHOLE’ AND GAGAWIN!

KAUSAP ni Mayor Belen T. ang mga representante ng DPWH Pangasinan 2nd Engineering District Planning Division na sina Project Engineers Karlo Marpuri, Engr. Rapunzel Claveria at kanilang team upang maaksyunan ang mga problemang manhole sa buong central business district at mga kalsada ng siyudad.

“Marami na ang nahulog sa mga “corroded” problemadong steel manhole covers, dahilan ng mga insidente sa kalsada,” sabi ni Mayor. Kaya hiniling na gawin nang konreto ang mga ito at maiprioritize ang mga sira-sira/kalawanging manhole covers. Ang imbentaryo ng mga ito ay itinurn-over natin sa DPWH para sa kanilang pakikipagtulungan na agad itong maaksyunan.

NATIONAL CHILDREN’S MONTH CELEBRATION

MARAMI surpresa para sa mga bata sa nalalapit na National Children’s Month Celebration sa darating na Nobyembre. Kaya naman ngayon pa lamang ay pinaghahandaan na kasama ang Local Council for the Protection of Children at City Nutrition Committee kasabay ng 3rd Quarter Joint Regular Meeting ngayong umaga, 19 September.  Sesentro ang selebrasyon ng National Children’s Month sa children protection sa temang “Break the Prevalence, End the Violence: Protecting Children, Creating a safe Philippines”.

Dito sa siyudad, ating tinitiyak ito sa inclusive participation ng lahat ng bata, sila man ay persons with disability. Kalahok ang lahat sa magaganap na Children’s Summit , at  State of the Children’s Address. Kabilang din sa month-long celebration na inihahanda ang mga sumusunod:  1.Official launch of UMB (Unaen Su Mairap Bilay) Health and Nutrition Program focusing on severely wasted/malnourished children   2. Junior Child Health Advocate Relaunch    3. Sports Training and Development Program   4. Vision and Hearing Test for Children    5. Medical assistance to PWD, kids with cancer, diabetes, heart ailments, skin problems and others.  6. HANDA KA BA? Disaster Preparedness Information Education Campaign for teachers and students in coordination with the Girls Scouts of the Philippines – Dagupan Council.
