FOR FREE MEDICINES, CONSULTATIONS

THE number of accredited Konsulta Providers under PhilHealth surpassed its presence in 100 hospitals in Pangasinan, with ongoing additions.

Joseph Manuel of PhilHealth Pangasinan told an online press conference, that PhilHealth has accredited a total of 162 hospitals that serve as Konsulta Providers, allowing PhilHealth members to enroll and access free medications and consultations.

Previously, only 21 types of medications were available at Konsulta Provider Hospitals but this already expanded to 53 different classes of drugs, all provided free of charge by PhilHealth.

Included in this list are anti-microbial drugs, oral rehydration salts, anti-asthma medications, anti-pyretic drugs, anti-Dyslipidemia agents, anti-diabetic treatments, anti-hypertensive drugs, antihistamines, and antithrombotic medications.

PhilHealth Pangasinan emphasizes that members must first consult with accredited hospitals, and only medications prescribed by a doctor are eligible for free distribution under the Konsulta Program.

Authorities encourage all PhilHealth members to enroll or apply at the Konsulta Provider Accredited Hospitals to avail themselves of these essential medical services.

According to data shared by Manuel, a total of 1,445,011 PhilHealth members in Pangasinan are enrolled in the Konsulta Program.  (Ahikam Pasion)
