A 50-year-old LGU employee was nabbed in an anti-illegal drug operation by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) in Barangay Nancayasan in Urdaneta City, Tuesday night, September 10.

Rechie Camacho, PDEA-Pangasinan provincial officer, identified the suspect as Orlando Visperas, a POSO Traffic Enforcer residing in Barangay PoblaciĆ³n, Mapandan.

An undercover PDEA agent was able to buy one sachet containing suspected shabu from VIsperas weighing one gram worth P6,800.

Visperas was promptly arrested after receiving payment. A body search that followed yielded another sachet of suspected shabu weighing one gram and his POSO Mapandan ID.

Camacho said that Visperas served 13 years in jail because of illegal drugs, and immediately resumed drug trade as soon as he was released.

Kakalabas lang niya last year“, he said.

Camacho added that Visperas was using his status as a POSO enforcer to peddle illegal drugs.

Visperas is now under PDEA custody, as cases in violation of RA 9165 have been filed against him. (Ahikam Pasion)
