Junkie nabbed in Sta.Barbara drug ops

A 29-year-old individual involved in street-level drug distribution was arrested during an anti-illegal drug buy-bust operation conducted by the police in Sta. Barbara. The suspect, identified as Aurie Jae Suralta Jimenez, also known as “Jae,” works as a messenger and resides in Barangay Poblacion Sur. Authorities apprehended Jimenez after he handed over a package of suspected dried marijuana leaves to an undercover buyer.

Upon searching his person, another package of marijuana was found in his pocket. Charges are being prepared against him.

Tricycle driver nabbed for illegal drugs in Dagupan City

POLICE apprehended a 31-year-old tricycle driver for alleged drug trafficking in Dagupan City. The suspect, identified as Roggie Doria Febreo, also known as “Nonong,” was caught during a buy-bust operation conducted by the Philippine National Police (PNP) along Ayusip Road in Barangay Bonuan Boquig, Dagupan City.

Authorities seized two packages of suspected shabu (methamphetamine) from Febreo, along with marked money used in the operation. Additionally, they discovered seven pieces of P1,000 bills used as boodle money and his tricycle. The suspect is now facing charges related to drug possession and distribution.

Tricycle driver nabbed, yields 170-k worth of shabu

POLICE apprehended a tricycle driver in an anti-illegal drug buy-bust operation conducted in the town of Mangaldan. The operation took place in Barangay Embarcadero, targeting the suspect, Rey Gene Esteves Nevado, aged forty-two, who currently resides in Malued, Dagupan City.

Upon his arrest, authorities seized three packages of suspected shabu, totaling 25 grams and valued at P170,000. The confiscated items also included two open plastic sachets with shabu residue, buy-bust money, a boodle money bag, a cellphone, and his motorcycle. Nevado now faces charges for violating Sections 5 and 11 of Republic Act No. 9165.

Back-rider dies in Aguilar road mishap

A vehicular accident resulted in the loss of a motorcycle-riding twenty-year-old man’s life when he collided with a car in Aguilar. Joshua Camacho Andaya, a seventeen-year-old grade 12 student, was riding along Romulo Highway in Barangay Bocacliw, Aguilar with a backrider, Edrian De Mesa Tamondong, both residents of Barangay Malibong in Urbiztondo town.

The collision occurred when their motorcycle unexpectedly collided with a car driven by Giovani Estrada Rosario, aged fifty-five, as Rosario was making a left turn. Both young men were thrown from the motorcycle. They were rushed to the hospital, but tragically, Edrian was declared dead on arrival due to injuries sustained in the incident. The driver of the car, Rosario, remained unharmed.

Motorcycle rider crashes into house, dies

A motorcycle riding accident in Mangaldan town resulted in the death of a twenty-three-year-old rider. His companion was also injured during the incident. Patrick Cimanes Malanum, the motorcycle rider, was traveling through Barangay Bantayan with his backrider, Mark Angelo Salinas Esponilla, a twenty-three-year-old therapist. Both were residents of Barangay Aramal in San Fabian.

Malanum lost control of the motorcycle while navigating a sharp turn on the road, causing it to overshoot and crashed directly into the home of Bernard Mangsat, an eighty-eight-year-old entrepreneur residing in the area. The impact left both young men with severe injuries across various parts of their bodies. They were rushed to the hospital, but Malanum was declared dead on arrival.

Tragic Motorcycle Accident Claims Woman’s Life in Mangaldan

A fatal motorcycle accident in the town of Mangaldan left one person dead and another seriously injured. Robel Sarmiento Abrigo, a forty-seven-year-old electrician, was riding the motorcycle at high speed along the Provincial Road in Brgy. Buenlag with his backrider, Faustina Pascua Bautista, aged forty-three, also a resident of Brgy. David in Mangaldan,  Unfortunately, Abrigo lost control of the vehicle, that sent both riders sprawling on the road.

Eyewitness Ryan Terrado Dulatre, a resident of Barangay Guesang, reported that the woman riding the pillion fell first, followed by the driver. Both victims sustained severe head and other bodily injuries. They were rushed to the hospital, but tragically, Bautista was declared dead on arrival. Upon investigation, it was discovered that both individuals had consumed alcohol prior to the accident.

Contractor fatally injured by dangling cable in Bani

A motorcycle-riding contractor lost his life in a tragic accident when a loose cable hanging across the road in Brgy. Poblacion in Bani town struck him. Elmer Humilde Oiga, a twenty-nine-year-old resident of Barangay Ranao and an experienced contractor, was driving along the stretch of road in Bani one afternoon. Unfortunately, he failed to notice the dangling cable wire that lay across the path.

Oiga stumbled and became ensnared by the wire, which tightened around his neck. Despite sustaining injuries to his neck and various parts of his body, he was rushed to the hospital, but was declared dead on arrival.

Motorcyclist fatally injured after falling into canal

A forty-three-year-old man lost his life after falling into a canal while riding his motorcycle in San Jacinto town. Eduardo Garin Zapanta Jr., a resident of Barangay Pias in Mapandan, was riding through the Imelda area when he lost control of his vehicle and veered into the canal.

He sustained injuries to various parts of his body. Despite immediate transport to the hospital, he did not survive.

Minor drowns in Angalacan River

A thirteen-year-old girl drowned while swimming in the Angalacan River. According to police investigations, it was around 1:00 PM last Sunday when Angeline Aquino Rimando, a Grade 8 student and resident of Barangay Casibong in San Jacinto, went to the river with friends. Her companions, also students aged eleven to thirteen, joined her for a swim.

Unfortunately, Angeline ventured into a deeper part of the river, where strong currents swept her away. Her friends immediately sought help from the barangay. Eventually, Angeline’s lifeless body was found floating downstream in another section of the Angalacan River near Barangay Embarcadero. Despite efforts to save her, she was declared dead on arrival at the hospital.

Epileptic Patient Drowns in River

A lifeless body was discovered floating in the Agno River when a local fisherman spotted it near the town of Mangatarem. Sammy Caingal Perez, a thirty-three-year-old resident of Brgy. Caturay Norte in Mangatarem, was casting his net along the riverbank when he noticed the motionless figure drifting face-down in the water. Acting swiftly, he pulled the body to the river’s edge and called for assistance.

Subsequently, the victim was identified as King Rayjohn Valdoz Sison, a twenty-one-year-old resident of Brgy. Ambayat 1st in Bayambang, Pangasinan. Sison is an epileptic, according to his sibling Dharyl. On Monday morning, Sison left their home without a word and never returned. His family believes that an epileptic episode may have struck him, causing him to slip into the river and drown. The authorities have retrieved his body.

Farmer drowns in fishpond while gathering grass

A farmer lost his life after accidentally falling into a fishpond while collecting grass for his goats in the town of Basista. The victim,  Maximino Leocadio Gatpo, a forty-five-year-old resident of Barangay Dumpay in Basista.

According to his sister, Marivic, Maximino had left home to gather fodder for their livestock but never returned. Concerned for his safety, Marivic reported him missing to the police. The following day, another sibling, Diosdado Leocadio Gatpo, discovered Maximino’s lifeless body in the nearby fishpond.
