1st Mayor Resuello Champions of Champions Basketball league kicks-off
THE inaugural Mayor Julier “Ayoy” Resuello Champions of Champions Basketball League kicked off in San Carlos City last September 8 at the Arenas-Resuello Complex that saw the participation of 12 cage teams.
The opening ceremony was led by Mayor Julier Resuello, along with Vice Mayor Joseres “Bogs” Resuello.
In the triple bill pitting league openers, District 3-Barangay Lilimasan thwarted District 8-Barangay Gamata, 76-69, District 4-Coliling subdued District-9 Barangay Abanon, 74-66 while Poblacion I-Barangay PNR McArthur shocked Disrict 10-Barangay Bani, 89-87 in a gut-wrenching thriller.
The cagefest seeks to empower San Carlenians through sports, build camaraderie, boost health and fitness, and expose to actual competitions the athletes in the grassroots level of the city.
“This is a celebration of unity, sportsmanship, and the skills of our local hoopsters, ”Mayor Resuello said. (Kim Gealogo)
