Drunk SUV driver injures 2 motorcycle riders
A collision between a motorcycle and an SUV driven by an intoxicated man left two young riders injured in Sta. Barbara.
Ivander Brix Dela Cruz Zara, a 22, was riding along Barangay Maticmatic with his backrider, Rene Rose Pascua Carreon, a 23, when they collided with the SUV driven by Ronaldo Leabres Gapuz, 55. All three are residents of Sta. Barbara.
Both motorcycle riders sustained injuries to various parts of their bodies while the car’s driver was unharmed. The police determined that Gapuz was drunk.

2 minors injured as motorcycle collides with SUV
A collision between a motorcycle and a moving SUV in Binalonan left two underage riders injured.
The SUV, driven by Dolores Crisjoy Ramil Domingo, 21, carried passengers Helen Quijaro Lim, 68, and Myrnalene Lim Guerrero, 62. They are residents of the town’s Barangay Sumabnit. As the SUV made a left turn, it collided with a motorcycle ridden by a 16-year-old boy and his friend of the same age.
Both young riders were injured in the incident and were promptly taken to the hospital for treatment.

Rider dead in vehicular accident
A man died when his motorcycle collided with a police-owned car in Dagupan City.
P/SSg Ernesto Erfe of the Dagupan City PNP, 47, from Bonuan Boquig, was driving on New De Venecia Highway when a motorcycle driven by Freddy Rosario Fernandez Jr., 29, a collector from Camaley, Sta. Rosa, Binmaley, veered into his lane.
Police and disaster response members quickly responded to the incident and transported the injured to the hospital for immediate care. The victim later died.
In a separate incident, a police officer and an ice buko vendor were injured in a vehicular accident in San Carlos City.
P/SSg Rodrigo Baldeo Dumlao, 43, assigned to Malasiqui MPS and a resident of Barangay Salinap, San Carlos City, was driving his motorcycle in Barangay Aponit, San Carlos City, when he collided with an oncoming motorcycle driven by Juanito Pagsolingan Sabangan, 52, a resident of Barangay Aponit, San Carlos City.
Both fell to the ground and sustained injuries. They were promptly taken to the hospital for medical treatment.

Mystery white powder found in the sea negative for shabu
A fisherman found three sealed plastic packs containing an unidentified white powder substance floating in the sea near Bolinao town, which later tested negative for cocaine or methamphetamine hydrochloride, commonly known as shabu.
The fisherman reported his find that weighed 9.31 kilograms to Balingasay Barangay Captain Dalmacia Ulep, who contacted the police.
In an initial field test conducted by a chemist from the PFU-Lingayen, the substance turned out negative for the presence of cocaine and shabu.
The sealed packs have been sent to PFU-Lingayen for further analysis.

Father and son caught in buy-bust
A father and son were apprehended for their involvement in drug trafficking in a recent buy-bust operation conducted by the Rosales Police.
The suspects, identified as Bernabe Bueno Manangan, 63, from Barangay Cabalaoangan Sur, Rosales, and his son Benjie Minglana Manangan, 26, from Barangay Palina East, Urdaneta City, were caught selling a package of suspected shabu to an undercover police. During the operation, Bernabe was found in possession of another package of suspected shabu concealed in his wallet. The son had a package of suspected shabu in his own wallet too. The police also confiscated his motorcycle as part of the evidence.
The estimated street value of the seized drugs amounts to ₱4,760. Authorities are preparing to file the cases against the father and son.

Man dies in Lingayen inn
A 63-year-old man was declared dead on arrival at the hospital after experiencing difficulty breathing while staying at an inn in Lingayen.
According to the police, they received a call from a hospital reporting that a man had been brought in but had already passed away.
Investigations revealed that the man had checked in to the inn with a woman, and shortly after, he complained of breathing difficulties. The woman sought help from a room attendant, and the man was rushed to the hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival.
No injuries or defensive wounds were found on the man’s body.

Brother attacks sibling over land dispute
A man is facing charges of frustrated homicide after attacking his own brother with a machete over a land dispute in San Nicolas town.
The victim, Bernard Jagto Sibayan, 60, was rushed to the hospital after he was attacked by his brother, Rogelio Jagto Sibayan Jr., 63. Both are residents of Barangay Sta. Maria West.
According to police investigations, the victim was on his way to his farm when he encountered the suspect. An argument ensued, then the suspect suddenly struck his younger brother on the head.
The victim ran to the house of Barangay Captain Cesario Ramirez to seek help. (Ahikam Pasion)
